PA Bootcamp was very informative and definitely boosted my confidence before stepping onto a feature film set. I had a pretty good understanding of how film production worked before going in but I still learned a tremendous amount. Really! These guys know their stuff.
I also want to address the "yelling" part. From my experience, no one person was yelled at. Not only the instructor, but we as a group projected our voices at certain times because that is part of the job. You have to raise your voice to cover physical distances.
In regards to those who say it is a scam, I assure you, it is not. I was actually referred to the program by a real person in the film industry. This is a known program and immediately gained my credibility. Their website might not be the most up to date which may have caused some of those initial thoughts but it is legit.
I would recommend anyone who has never worked on a high budget feature film set take this course!

Awesome training. I had zero film experience going into the training, but learned so much in just 2 quick days. They genuinely did help connect me with jobs, and made me feel really confident going to start work. Definitely would recommend

Unfortunately wasn't able to finish the course. Within one day however, they were able to inject so much knowledge of the craft of PA. Their skillful and passionate approach of involving the attendees while maintaining an urgent and realistic tone did wonders for the spirit. Overall great work by a fantastic team of individuals. They also provide job opportunities immediately afterwards, something not to hesitate on!

Took this workshop in April 2018 and have to say it was worth it. Been working sporadicly on non-union films, commercials and t.v spots for the last 7 years and it's amazing how unavailable proper training is for this type of set duty. In hindsight, I wish I had done it sooner. The instructors are seasoned P.A's who've worked and still work on big shows and have only a weekend to whip you into shape. Thus the "bootcamp". They go over proper set etiquette, radio etiquette, surveillance mics, set paperwork, lingo, call sheets and help tweak your resume so that UPM's don't toss it out. They are direct about having you feeling confident “on the day”. Great instructors, worth the change. I got a gig only 3 days after the workshop, 5 total since and everything I learned was applied on day 1. First impressions on a set are important. Thanks guys.

I actually took the boot Camp training in May 2017, along with my DP and I have to say, we actually enjoyed the training ... They taught us a lot about proper set etiquettes, equipment usage and terminology. I give them an ‘A,’ Plus!

They have some good info but nothing super informative that you can't find on the internet or learn on the job. They definitely promise to give you opportunities and lie about that. You have to find opportunities yourself. No worth the cost of the program. Should be free.

I have no idea what Carly is talking about. I found the program to be very helpful, and if you think their snarky quips are bad here, then I'm sorry to say you'll never make it on a film set.

I would never ever attend this program based on EXTREME unprofessional and condescending remarks I have seen from people who work here. Do your research first, do not be naive to such an unprofessional uncaring company.
